If you mean the usual webhosting, yadda yadda then I would suggest http://www.freewebs.com it’s easy and simple. You can choose to do templated or your own HTML codes. Very simple and trustworthy, my bestfriend’s dad uses it for his business site (but, of course, he bought his site thing so no ‘webs’ or ‘freewebs’ thing is on the link to the site).

I have been using Vodahost for three years now and I’m very happy with them. You get a free website builder and to host it on VodaHost costs around $95 for a year plus you get a domain name. I started out not knowing anything at all about building websites but they have really easy-to-follow tutorials. You can do a lot with it and they have good support and you can also find most answers in the forum. Click on the link below to find out more about Blue Voda. Also, I’ve included links to the websites I’ve built with Blue Voda. Another site I’ve been checking out is Hostgator. Hostgator also comes with a free website builder and their plans start out as low as $4.95 monthly with no contracts.
These are the sites I’ve built with Blue Voda:

You should register your domains with a seperate company from the one that you host your site with, there is less potential for problems.
Most web hosts will allow you to host several different domains on 1 hosting account, all the domains would share diskspace and bandwidth.
A list of full service webhosts that have packages for less than $5/month are available at http://www.hostingscorecard.com/SharedS-1.html
All hosts are rated based on a minimum of 1000 uver reviews/comments over the last 6 months.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months’ time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 1500000 MB (1500 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

You have the right idea there when you start by looking for a reliable and trustworthy host. There are some many web hosting companies out there it is difficult to filter the bad ones out. I suggest you do the following:
1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingsthatsuck.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.
2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.
3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.
You can start with Justhost, Fatcow and Webfaction.
Good luck.
